To say I've been learning and growing this year is an understatement. So that I got to second shoot for this Wequassett Resort Cape Cod wedding last weekend was amazing. I finally had a chance to put to use everything I've been studying and gathering from wedding classes, blogs and just plain old Pinterest AND get to learn from a long time wedding photography veteran in the process. This first wedding of 2016, although not my own, solidified that I KNOW this is what I was meant to do, and I couldn't have been more ecstatic that he gave me the go ahead to use the images I captured on this wedding day on social media and on this blog.
Because Dan and Melissa were not an MJP couple, I didn't have a chance to get to know them aside from the wedding day, but I will say... wow. It is so evident, solely from the number of kisses, how head over heels these two are for each other. From hearing Melissa joke in the limo about how Dan was probably running away assuming she was freaking out when the trolley broke down on the way to ceremony (she wasn't and it was quickly resolved!), to watching their pure joy when they NAILED their first dance after practicing a few steps in front of our cameras earlier in the day, this couple is everything a MJP couple would be - relaxed, down to earth and purely in love. I consider myself lucky for getting to know them on their wedding day and being able to capture the BEST day of their life to date for them. Here's to you Dan and Melissa - and many more BEST days to come.
P.S. If you missed why it's title "Party Animal" wedding, their escort cards were little animals with a sign that says "Find your inner party animal." COOLEST THING EVER!!
